Call over Text = forces you to use your words, and the more you talk the better you'll get at expressing your thoughts out loud. Hearing someone's voice can be so healing. I heard my moms voice for the first time this week in a while, and I felt so happy. The answer is always love. Chose the decision that will leave light, and betterment of any situation. As my roommate said "You Will Never Regret Being The Bigger Person". Although don't forget boundaries and self respect. 2. Write them out = Journaling your day at the end of the day and intention for the next day takes time. Set a 10 minute alarm before you go to bed. Write out your day and intention for the following day. 3. Prepare ahead of time = this can be done in step 2, writing out your thoughts makes space for your other thoughts to bloom. Chat with a trusted friend 2. Practice, since its quite vulnerable to do this and open up 3. Nothing bad comes from stating the obvious, and it can give closure. The delivery though… like all things can lead to success or failure. Fail fast by reflecting and moving forward. Meet somewhere where you can sit down in an open space like a park . That’s what I would do differently. Emotions and thoughts can get heavy inside, even if something doesn’t work out, remember rejection is redirection. And better yet will come clarity. The more you can chose to be courageous & honest, the easier your life will get. Closing doors doesn’t mean your locking the door up , but choosing to close doors means less noise. Know when to close the door, and know that you can always open whatever room you wish to enter. The Truth is … you always know when something feels right or wrong, keep listening to your inner voice and know you don’t ever need to feel rushed to speak. Something to notice is how on Spadina to Bay Street in Toronto there's almost no good restaurants (besides king taps and earls?) and no good coffee shops along the way. For being the “heart” of Toronto, I’ve never once gravitated towards Gabby’s or Second Cup coffee. There’s so much potential in this area, but I strongly feel some re-branding would be good. Considering they just opened the Nobu on Mercer Street which is a side street in between John Street and King, its saddening to live in this area and think about what could be and what clearly isn’t. A really great coffee shops from the US could move here and do well. So many young people live in the surrounding environment and our only option for coffee is really Starbucks…. I did hear a Chipotle is moving into the old Aroma shop on Charlotte Street near Spadina and off King Street. Even if Aritzia opened up a cafe here, its is close enough to the Queen Street Location and could be the launch of their coffee success. I was under the impression everyone knew about Aritzia Coffee, but sitting outside in Yorkville, id say 50/50 conversations I heard in passing were “have you tried it yet?” odd since me and some of my friends have been drinking it since 2022 summer. There’s definitely no advertising for this cafe online or in Toronto. For anyone reading that doesn’t know what Aritzia is, its kind of like the go to clothing store for many young girls and grown women, it started popping off in 2013 with TNA. Every “cool” girl had a sweater or 5 lol. TNA leggings and TNA sweaters with moccasins from soft moc. That was the style. The train from Union Station to Allandale Waterfront Go Station took 1 hour and 48 minutes. From there the Muskoka Uber took 1 hour and 20 minutes. I got a drive to Barrie and a friend ubered home again it was $200. Crazy.
